Frequently Asked Questions

Learn more about our services and some of our treatments.

A: You can wear whatever you like to a massage. We never ask you to disrobe beneath your level of comfort. Most people wear their undergarments. You are covered under a sheet the entire time. If you are unsure, just ask and we will discuss when you schedule.

A: We schedule based on your request. Some people request first available, some request a specific time or day that works best for them, and some have a particular therapist that they request.

You will never offend any of us by making a request about a therapist or pressure, etc. We work as a team and our goal is to get you the care you need. The best way to schedule is to call 419-629-2717. We don’t have a receptionist (you’ll always talk to a therapist when you call!), so you’ll likely get our answering machine. We try to return calls between appointments.

A: We do. Repeat offenders who cancel with less than 24 hours notice will be charged 50% of the missed appointment. However, if you are sick, we want you to cancel. Please call to let us know you will not make it as soon as possible.

A: We offer therapeutic and relaxation massages as timed appointments. On a healthy person, a 1/2 hour massage is sufficient for an upper-body massage (or partial body, like feet and legs) and 1 hour is sufficient for a full-body massage. If you have a medical issue that you would like addressed, feel free to ask for a recommendation. Medical issues sometimes take additional time.

A: Yes, our therapists are trained to do deep tissue and many other techniques as well. We customize every massage to fit your specific needs. Don’t be afraid to give us feedback. Everyone perceives pressure differently, and it is important to us that you get what you need.

A: The New Bremen Massage Clinic follows all rules and regulations set by the Ohio State Medical Board. As always, we do not want anyone in our clinic if symptoms of an illness are present. We allow extra time between appointments to ensure proper sanitation. We frequently clean high-touch areas, including the bathroom. We have HEPA filters in each treatment room. Finally, all of our therapists wear a mask during each session.

A: The therapist will recommend techniques that may fit your situation. You are always welcome to make a request. Techniques may include: Muscle release (deep tissue), lymphatic drainage, sports massage, specialized rotator cuff treatment, cupping, pregnancy massage, aromatherapy, heat therapy (hot stones or mu-xing), trigger point therapy, Swedish massage and craniosacral.

A: Regular rates are $1/minute and you can sit 15-40 minutes. If you bring a second person (the sauna sits 2), the second person only pays half. If you couple it with a massage, you can receive $5 off. Or, you can buy a package: $95/100 minutes, $140/150 minutes or $180/200 minutes. Only one discount can be used per session.

A: Your session includes an in-depth consultation, specialized abdominal massage and reflexology, patient education (learn self-massage), and relaxation massage as time allows. Also, a castor oil pack will be used on your abdomen, and you will be taught how to make it yourself. You will take the castor oil pack home with you to use again.

Digestion problems? We recommend the abdominal massage portion of this session-- approximately 45 minutes. Regular timed rates apply.

What does a fertility massage do?

  • Helps loosen scar tissue and clear blockages to fallopian tubes.
  • Helps relax the stomach that is hard from stress or digestive issues.
  • Promotes liver health to process toxins from the body.
  • Helps improve digestive health and nutrient absorption.

A: The cost of the online gift certificate service is too high for our therapists to absorb. So, we went with the most economical option, which still provides a fantastic customer experience: You can securely order and print your gift certificate or email it to the recipient. For those who wish to avoid the fee, we will always continue to fill orders at our office.

From the Ion Infra Manual: The ionic cleanse treatment works by osmosis. The array goes into the water with the feet and the control unit delivers a current to the array.

This causes the metal within the array, with the water and salt to generate positively and negatively charged ions. Your cells are then energized by the ions, stimulating the release of toxins, oils, acids, fats, heavy metals, yeast cellular debris and waste that have accumulated over your lifetime. The body can also eliminate parasites, pinworms and various colored mucus; even drawing massive amounts of nicotine from the tissue and joints of people that have quit smoking even several years ago. Ionic body cleanse is an innovative technique for facilitating detox and drainage while simultaneously fostering healthy pH changes in the body.
